1. What We Collect

ZipIt! is designed with privacy in mind. We do not require accounts or collect personal information. When you use the service we may temporarily process:

The files you upload (held in server memory only during compression, never written to disk or stored).
Your IP address and browser User-Agent (used for rate limiting, abuse prevention, and anonymised analytics).

2. Cookies & Third-Party Advertising

ZipIt! itself does not set cookies. However, we use Google AdSense to display advertisements. Google and its advertising partners may use cookies and web beacons to serve ads based on your prior visits to this or other websites.

Google's use of advertising cookies is governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings or aboutads.info.

3. How We Use Your Data

File compression: Uploaded files are held in memory solely to create your ZIP archive. They are deleted immediately after the download completes or after 5 minutes, whichever comes first.
Logging: We log request metadata (IP, User-Agent, file count, compression settings) for operational monitoring and abuse prevention. Logs are retained for up to 30 days.
Rate limiting: We track request counts per IP address to prevent abuse. This data is kept in memory and is not persisted.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your data to third parties, except as required by law or as described in the advertising section above.

5. Children's Privacy

ZipIt! is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

6. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
